Journal #14
I agree with this writer's claim that journalism has turned into a blood sport because a lot of what's on the media is news that is sensationalized. Many of the writers will use heavy titles and headlines to draw audience attention. Most of the time, it's all about scandals and the latest celebrity news rather than more serious issues. However, many serious issues will have extremely ridiculous and dressed up headlines as well. It's also hard to tell the difference between tabloids and what's actually true because the stories are presented differently in different articles or news stories. It's almost like a competition of who can rack up the most views, likes, and comments on each post about a new celebrity pregnancy.
